Song Used on HTC “You” Commercials

by Nicholas Head 6. December 2009 08:25

In case you’re wondering, it’s a remix of Nina Simone – Sinnerman, found on the Verve Remixed, Vol 2 album. I picked up the album (actually the first three Verve Remixed albums) and they’re all excellent. Especially “Speak Low (Bent Remix)” by Billie Holiday found on Vol 3.

I think the HTC commercials are brilliant in every way.  The music, the message, the product explanation.  It's so personal.

Honestly, I think these are the best commercials for a tech product so far this year.  HTC kicked ass with them.

Yeah, I definitely agree. I haven't seen them much on mainstream TV, but Hulu shows them all the time. There's something for everyone in them, and a realness/raw truth to them that just works. We rely so much on our mobile devices nowadays..

I see tons of 'em.  Mostly in prime time, though.  8-10.  Rarely see one outside of that.

I like how relatable they are.  I think everyone can learn something about advertising with them.

It doesn't hurt that the products show off well, either.
